## Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Project Manager for the School of Management & Labor Relations Center of Talent Development to provide overall project management to the Center's grant-funded projects. This position shares responsibility with the director in the overall creation and management of all of the Talent Development Center grants and provides technical assistance designed to improve the employment outcomes of diverse populations in the healthcare sector, including but not limited to: healthcare professionals, semi-professionals, entry-level workers, new graduates in the healthcare field, older workers, dislocated workers, youth, low income and immigrant workers, and persons with disabilities.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
* Manages project budgets and timelines, serves as the primary point of contact for the client/funding agency and healthcare employers.
* Develops and implements an Industry week for a 5 day period with industry-specific events engaging businesses, job seekers, youth, educational institutions and other workforce partners.
* Manages administrative support of the project.
* Supervises and coordinates the work of project consultants, partners, stakeholders, and team members.
* Presents results of the network to the client agency and to outside groups, and maintains close contact with the client agency and any technical advisory groups that will exist throughout the project.
* Conceptualizes and develops strategies for providing workforce development and job search assistance to healthcare professionals and better connecting the education and workforce development system with the needs of employers.
* Oversees all project activities and deliverables and reports to the Senior Research Project Manager.

# Qualifications
## Minimum Education and Experience
* Requires a bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience preferably in education, life sciences, social sciences, or related field.
* Also requires five years' experience in administering education and training programs, grant writing, curriculum development, and/or educational programming.
* Work experience with various work force development grants is a must.
## Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Ability to write proposals and secure federal, state, and private foundation grants
* Skill in developing innovative and entrepreneurial avenues for new training programs
* Ability to supervise staff and training faculty Candidate to have current New Jersey regional partnerships and connections to facilitate program and contract development in order to meet New Jersey service needs and to expand training placements for dislocated workers
## Preferred Qualifications
* Education in STEM related field, Social sciences, or related field, plus three years of experience developing and delivering educational programs in leadership development and addiction studies is strongly preferred.
* Some experience with hybrid, distance learning approaches
* Knowledge of addictions and related mental health fields
* Prior experience working with talent networks and State department of labor
